4 of our units have the deerskin units on them, the newest one has a direction bar on the back of it, the other three have the amber whirly light on the top that is basicly useless. The oldest units has the shorline unit on it with a light bar on the top. I am pretty sure they all flash amber.
I always use my hazard. Sometimes at night I use the hazards, the whirly light and the flood lights. People in this town drive crazy...I want to make sure I am seen.
I love the deerskin cages, but yes the trucks are hard to back and park at times. I have had a couple light pole "jump" behind my truck, luckly no damage was done.

Here I'm part of the PD, so my van has the full PD light package (blues). I also push a cruiser around as needed.

I work for the Police Dept. but we are not an emergency vehicle so we don't use red or blue. I believe Washington State only allows Police cars to use blue lights.

I want to say my vehicle has an older model Code 3 light bar. It's full size with Amber/White lights. It has alley lights and forward takedowns. The rear takedowns were blocked by the fan unit, so my partner modified the light bar and directed the rear takedowns forward, so we have extremely bright forward takedowns. It's great for searching at night. We also have Amber strobes on the back of the Swab cab.

Depending on the call I'll either have the truck lit up like a X-mas tree or just put on my four-ways. Of course it doesn't matter what I do people still speed past me. That's when I yell at them to slow down, make arm movements (no gestures), and give dirty looks.

We had nothing until this year. Finally we got an amber lightbar for top of the van and two pulsing flashers on the back. We also drive a boat of a full size Dodge Extention Cargo Van.

Dont got Them, Get them! Even tho some people dont care what you have. They still zoom past you like your a ghost. We have to use Blue and amber. Our upper management wont allow us to use the reds. (Even tho they allow road workers to use em :/ )
